Mixtape Monday : Mixtape Looking for Music Submissions, Dj, Donations

“TheDopeness x MATunes.net x TheFembassy are gearing up for an all-female mixtape [TBA]: Female DJ, female emcees and singers, headed by 3 dope sites ran by females. This mixtape is not strictly for the up and coming, we would also like already established emcees and musicians to be a part of this project. Women are highly underrated and underappreciated in hip-hop, the aim for this mixtape is to give women that outlet to not only represent as a whole, but to show that female emcees still exist.

Some may have remembered receiving an email like this about a project similar to this in the past. Because of complications and situations beyond our control,  that didn’t involve anyone currently working on this project, the mixtape had to be put on hold and, now, started over. This time, for an even bigger purpose than highlighting female artists. Although the mixtape will be available online for free, hard copies will be produced, in the hopes of selling them for a small profit with all the proceeds going towards the Forever Young Project, a nonprofit organization committed to providing support for ages 13-21 that are talented in music, art & fashion.

We are asking for music submissions for this project, from female emcees and singers. Also if any female-headed blogsites, DJs, celebrities, and elite individuals who would like to submit drops or have their name on the project, please don’t hesitate to send in all the necessary information. Our first focus is receiving music submissions and second, to have other sites that are willing to help with this great project.

Please refer this email to anyone who may be of interest, quick replies are preferred. As to have the project done in time to be mixed and mastered to be promoted at an upcoming event during the summer,we ask that all submissions be submitted by May, if not sooner.

ALSO, PLEASE BE SURE THAT ALL MUSIC/DROP SUBMISSIONS ARE CLEAN EDITS!

More information will be sent, once an email has been received. The mixtape art will be done by PS [you can check out my work HERE.], and the DJ will be announced as soon as we gather enough music submissions for the project.
